Industrial Waste Stream Compliance Sampling

Compliance monitoring requirements under programs such as the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination Systems (NPDES) as authorized by the Clean Water Act.

Industrial Waste Stream Compliance Sampling

KEI helps corporations, small businesses, and individuals understand their compliance monitoring requirements under various programs such as the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination Systems (NPDES) as authorized by the Clean Water Act. Industries that discharge to sanitary sewers are typically under permits issued by cities or municipalities. We provide waste stream compliance monitoring for various industries responsible for food manufacturing, packaging, and distribution, cleaning & safety, laundry & dry cleaning, and logistics. We provide both grab and composite sampling. KEI is certified by KDHE to analyze pH in the field. Typical analysis includes:

  • Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD)
  • Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD)
  • Total Suspended Solids (TSS)
  • Ammonia
  • Phosphorus
  • Field pH
  • Oil & Grease
  • Metals (Phenols, Cyanide, Arsenic, Cadmium, Chromium, Copper, Lead, Mercury, Molybdenum, Nickel, Silver, Zinc)

We also provide other field analysis such as dissolved oxygen and total residual chlorine.

Drinking Water Sampling

We also perform sampling for clients concerned with employee safety to ensure drinking water at their facilities is not contaminated with harmful bacteria. We sample break room sinks and drink stations for E.coli and Total Coliform.

Construction companies often call us to verify that new systems are free from bacteria. Likewise, home owners and home buyers often want to ensure their home or potential home has an adequate source of clean drinking water. We generally test drinking water wells for harmful bacteria and excessive nitrates.
